My journey to building Lugushea, a leading sheabutter export company in Ghana, was far from straightforward. After graduating with a first-class degree in Marketing from Christian Service University, I was torn between pursuing a master’s degree abroad or chasing my passion in modeling and showbusiness. Relocating to Accra, I initially pursued modeling, but the financial rewards were elusive. A friend’s advice led me to explore the sheabutter business. With minimal capital, I began researching and learning from YouTube videos on preparation and packaging.
The early years were challenging. Retailers were hesitant to stock my products on credit, and some reneged on payment agreements. Perseverance paid off when I secured my first export in the fourth year. Today, by God’s grace, Lugushea has evolved into a thriving enterprise.

In our sixth year, we expanded our product line to cater to the growing demand for natural skincare products. Our portfolio now boasts 12 diverse shea-related products, including:
